Huawei Assistant, the brand’s alternative to Google Discover, has been updated with a new design and some new features.
Huawei Assistant is a name that may sound familiar to users in some countries with a Huawei phone. It is the Chinese brand’s alternative to Google Discover, a screen on the left of the phone, which gives us access to news and content of our interest.
Huawei now updates this screen with a new design, in addition to introducing some improvements to it. The new design mixes this news with new functions that the Chinese manufacturer now makes official, with which to access tools on the mobile, for example.
Huawei Assistant is renewed
Until now, Huawei Assistant showed us only the news that could be of interest to us, as we already know in Google Discover. This screen now introduces a series of new spaces. One of them is called Moments, which collects information and tools from our mobile, such as the calendar, weather information, steps we have taken, or upcoming events.
Users can customize this space, selecting those moments they want to include in it. In addition, it is also possible to move it to your liking and put it in the desired place on the screen, as well as delete those you do not want to have on the screen.
Another change is the shortcuts to your favorite apps, which are located at the top. You can let the phone learn from your habits and place the apps you use most frequently in this section. This way you can access these apps quickly and perform tasks that you do regularly on your phone.
Huawei Assistant also introduces a tool to perform comprehensive searches on your phone. By performing a search in this space you can access all kinds of information on your Huawei mobile, whether emails, contacts, or files on your phone. It is presented as a quick way to access information on your phone, especially if you are not sure where to look for it at a given time.
