New design
The Dell G15 debuts an interesting chassis with a rear in which a unique part that adds space for cooling and equipment components.
This design is also differentiated by the new type of paint and a finish that in the upper casing is marked by the central logo and that interesting way of highlighting the two tones (one lighter, one darker).
This design also features two air intakes on the sides that maximize airflow and are part of a cooling system designed to keep the heat dissipated by these powerful components at bay.
The keyboard has a variant with customizable lighting in four zones and additional sound features and all these options are controlled from the Alienware Command Center.
The design is almost bulkier than the Alienware m15, especially considering its thickness, which amounts to almost 27 millimeters. Dell has not disclosed the weight of the device, but we expect it to be around almost 2.7kg.
A high-end gamer laptop that doesn’t look like one
Everything about this machine makes it clear that this is a high-end gamer laptop. The screen reaches a 165Hz refresh rate, the processors are among the best on the market, and the graphics, although they take a small step back from the Alienware, continue to offer all the guarantees with the NVIDIA RTX 3060.
This model wants to stay somewhere between a gamer laptop and a professional laptop considering its design and performance.
This model can provide up to 32GB DDR4 memory at 3200MHz, and if the 165Hz screen seems little to you Dell has already indicated that this spring the company will launch a new version with a 360Hz screen.
Dell G15 Ryzen Edition price and release date
The new Dell G15 Ryzen Edition will be available from May 4 globally, and the starting price in the US will be $899.
