If you want to learn how to mute a video before sending it on WhatsApp, we are going to help you out. The beta version of WhatsApp has added a small but useful improvement: the ability to mute a video before sending it to someone via WhatsApp. We learned that the company was working on this feature and now it’s finally going live for users.
When recording a video, it’s normal to include audio, but it’s not always important. Sometimes you’ll want to mute the video if you hear conversations in the background. Now you have an option to mute directly from the WhatsApp video editor, without using any additional application.
How to mute a video before sending it on WhatsApp?
WhatsApp includes a small video editor with which you can add stickers, text, doodles, trim the length of a video and even turn it into an animated GIF. This editor now is available on WhatsApp beta.
When you press it, WhatsApp will send a copy of the video from your gallery that does not include the sound, just like that. The way to send a muted video is the same for sending any type of video. The difference is that, after you choose the video, you must click on the speaker icon, just below the timeline preview.
Clicking the icon toggles between muted and unmuted. Besides that the process is as same as usual, so you can add a comment before attaching the video to a chat or group.
Videos that have been muted are displayed in chats without any distinction, and no one will be able to tell if you removed the sound. As we said, WhatsApp is already activating this feature for WhatsApp Beta users, although it is expected to reach everyone in the near future.
