According to rumors, iPhone 12 mini could be discontinued in April.

When Apple introduced the iPhone 12 mini, many people thought this model was for them. Its size fits perfectly in a pocket or a hand, but the small screen seems to be putting off its sales.

A few days ago, a rumor pointed out that Apple was starting to use the production lines of the iPhone 12 mini for the iPhone 12, a phone that was selling better. The low sales that the iPhone 12 mini model is causing the company to consider discontinuing it.

According to analyst William Yang of JP Morgan, Apple is adjusting some of the forecasts for the current iPhone 12 series and the upcoming iPhone 13 series and will move to make more iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro, and even increase the production of the iPhone 11.

The iPhone 12 has also not had the demand that Apple expected. According to analysts, Apple has reduced production of the iPhone 12 by 9 million units. Both the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Pro are quite similar in features, with the former having a better demand despite being $200 more expensive.

Due to the low demand, Yang claims that the iPhone 12 mini supply chain could stop making the iPhone 12 mini by the second quarter of 2021.

Yang also claims that Tim Cook’s company could launch the 3rd generation iPhone SE in the first half of 2022, with a design very similar to the one it currently shows, and that it could also launch a low-cost version of the iPhone 11 sometime next year.
