Apple TV+ extends free subscription period until February 2021. Apple TV+ is the new entertainment service that Apple announced in the 2019 keynote. It is another platform to be added to the streaming battle waged by Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime Video or Disney+. As expected Apple tries to take advantage of this platform.

Apple TV+ was launched on November 1st in 100 countries at a very affordable monthly price and with the possibility of sharing the subscription with up to six people from the same family. Apple TV+ offered a free year of service for new Apple hardware buyers and with all its functions, support for 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos content, and the possibility of downloading it for offline viewing.
Apple TV+ extends free subscription period until February 2021
The purchase of an iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV or iPod touch from September 2019 allowed customers to enjoy a free one-year subscription from the launch date of November 1. Now, this period will be extended for three more months until February 2021.
For users who have not purchased hardware and have subscribed plans, the company will provide credits for the value of that period. This credit can be spent on any iTunes Store or App Store content and can be used to pay for any Apple service billed to your account, including a potential migration to one of the Apple One plans, a new service to be launched later this year.
Both the free trial extension and refunds will be automatically applied to user accounts. Email notifications will be sent in the next few days.
If you have purchased Apple hardware since September 2019 (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV or iPod touch) and have not yet redeemed the free Apple TV+ promotion you still have time, as the offer is still valid and the same terms apply: Apple’s streaming service will be free until February 2021.
