xAI has introduced Grok 4 Fast, a more efficient reasoning model that uses 40% fewer thinking tokens than its predecessor, Grok 4. The company claims that Grok 4 Fast offers a 98% reduction in price while maintaining similar performance levels.
This new model features a unified architecture capable of handling complex requests and providing quick responses.
In tests conducted on LMArena, Grok 4 Fast excelled in search-related tasks, ranking first, and performed well in text-related tasks, ranking eighth. The model is now accessible to all users on web, iOS, and Android platforms.
Despite the competition in the AI market, with Google’s potential release of the next-gen Gemini and Anthropic’s updates to the Claude Opus model, xAI continues to innovate with the launch of Grok 4 Fast.
