Samsung has introduced its new Micro RGB display technology, which the company hails as a significant advancement for televisions, promising “exceptional color accuracy with sub-100-micrometer LEDs.” The inaugural product featuring this innovation is a 115-inch display.
The proprietary Micro RGB technology employs an ultra-fine arrangement of individually controlled red, green, and blue micro RGB LEDs behind the panel, enabling precise color management. An integrated AI engine real-time analyzes and optimizes color output for each frame. Additionally, “Micro RGB Color Booster Pro” enhances dull color tones across content for a more vivid viewing experience.
The display also incorporates a generative AI-powered “smarter Bixby” and is secured by Knox. With “Micro RGB Precision Color,” the display achieves 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color space, while “Glare Free” technology minimizes reflections even in bright environments. Samsung has committed to providing seven years of updates for its Tizen OS.
The Micro RGB display will first launch in Korea, followed by a release in the US, with plans for a global rollout that includes various sizes to cater to diverse customer demands.
