Meta will hold its 2026 Conversations messaging conference on June 3 in London to unveil innovations for its messaging platforms, including WhatsApp, Messenger, and IG Direct.

The conference marks the fifth annual Meta Business Messaging event and will include discussions by several executives on the future of messaging in business and the role of artificial intelligence in these applications. The event will be live-streamed globally.

Meta plans to invest over $600 billion in AI infrastructure over the next three years. AI will be the central focus of this year’s conference, as the company aims to engage business partners with developments in custom chatbots and agentic operators designed for enhancing business communications.

“This year’s keynote is focused on the innovations that matter most: winning new customers, keeping them coming back and scaling your business with AI-enabled messaging,” Meta stated.

Anticipated topics include Meta’s AI clone project, which could allow companies to create AI representations of their employees for interactions within its messaging apps. This initiative aligns with a broader trend as users increasingly shift from public posting to private messaging.

WhatsApp has seen growing usage in the U.S., prompting Meta to enhance tools that facilitate business connections through private chats. Adoption rates for Meta’s Click-to-Message ads are accelerating, integrating AI capabilities into messaging commerce.

The announcements from the conference could reveal new insights into messaging trends and forthcoming tools that Meta plans to introduce, positioning itself as a leader in the evolving landscape of business messaging.
