Apple will begin selling Sony’s PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers separately for $250 through its store on November 11. Previously, the controllers were only available through the purchase of the $400 PS VR2 headset bundle. The change comes as Apple’s visionOS 26 update adds support for the controllers to the Vision Pro headset.
According to Apple, the controllers provide more immersive gameplay options for the Vision Pro. The PS VR2 Sense controllers support six-degrees-of-freedom motion tracking, finger-touch detection, and rumble feedback.
The controller availability was announced alongside a second-generation Vision Pro headset. This updated model features Apple’s new M5 chip for increased power. It also comes with a Dual Knit Band that includes a top strap designed to improve stability and comfort for the user. The original Vision Pro headset has a starting price of $3,499.
