Have you ever wondered if there’s a way to measure beauty in a photograph? The Pretty Scale is a web-based app that attempts to do just that.

It analyzes facial features and proportions to give you a score on a scale of attractiveness.

But how exactly does it work, and is it a reliable way to judge beauty? Let’s delve into the intricacies of the Pretty Scale.

What is Pretty Scale?

The Pretty Scale is an app that analyzes faces in photos and assigns a score based on how closely your features match certain proportions. It considers things like the space between your eyes, lip size, and facial symmetry.

The Pretty Scale relies on algorithms that analyze facial features based on certain proportions. These proportions are often linked to the concept of the “golden ratio,” a mathematical formula said to represent ideal beauty. The app considers the distance between your eyes, the size and shape of your lips, and the symmetry of your face.

How to use Pretty Scale

So, how does the Pretty Scale actually work? Here’s a simplified breakdown:

  1. Upload a photo: You’ll need to upload a clear, front-facing photo of yourself. Make sure there’s good lighting and avoid using filters or makeup.
  2. Facial landmark marking: The app asks you to mark specific points on your face, like the corners of your lips or the center of your eyebrows. This helps the app better analyze your features.

The app’s algorithms then analyze your photo and assign you a score on a scale. A higher score indicates that your features align more closely with the proportions the app uses to define attractiveness.

Well, %46 isn’t terrible since DiCaprio’s photo managed to get %70. May It is safe to say that I am closer to DiCaprio than a horrible result…

Of course, I am just joking around.

Pretty Scale is just an app, and the science behind it is not conclusive. Beauty standards vary greatly across cultures and throughout history. What one person finds attractive, another might not. That’s why there are so many TikTok filters for beauty out there!

While the Pretty Scale might not be a definitive judge of beauty, it can be a fun tool for exploring facial proportions and playing around with photo analysis.
