Rumor has it that the redesigned YouTube TV app will allow users to purchase from their TVs.

I only use YouTube on my TV to watch videos or catch up on some of my favorite shows, so if we can shop through the TV app, that would be a really interesting experience.

You can shop while watching videos on YouTube TV

According to YouTube’s blog post, the YouTube app will soon have many different innovations. Users will be able to access comments while watching videos.

The video will take up about 60% of the screen in the new interactive mode. The remaining space will be used for comments, a video description, the number of likes and views, a list of products mentioned in the video, and other elements. YouTube believes this design will be ideal for users who want to interact with other information while watching the video.

Another important feature of the new design is the “products in this video” section. When creators mention specific products in their videos, a list of them and QR codes will be displayed next to the video. Viewers can scan these QR codes with their phones to access the products directly.

Similar new features are coming to the YouTube TV app. This will allow viewers to see stats and other information on the side while watching live sporting events.

These new designs and features are still being developed. YouTube hasn’t given any information on exactly when they will be available. However, they are expected to make the YouTube on TV experience more enjoyable and interactive.

It will be really interesting to see if these innovations will actually come to the app.
