Technology giant Xiaomi has officially entered the electric vehicle market! The first sales price for its first electric vehicle, Xiaomi SU7, will be announced on 28 March.

So what will the Chinese technology giant’s new electric vehicle offer drivers as it enters the highly competitive automotive sector? Here’s all we know.

Xiaomi started accepting orders with 59 stores in 29 cities in China. Aiming to become one of the five largest car manufacturers in the world in the next 10 years, the company wants to become an important brand in the automotive industry.

Xiaomi SU7 specifications

The company states that the SU7’s operating system will be compatible with smartphones and other devices. It also states that the SU7 can accelerate faster than some Tesla and Porsche model vehicles thanks to its “super electric motor” technology.

On the other hand, Xiaomi’s entry into the automotive sector may create an element of competition for Tesla and other electric vehicle manufacturers. Normally Apple would also participate in this competition, but as you know, the electric vehicle project Project Titan was canceled.

Xiaomi plans to invest $10 billion in the automobile business as part of its long-term strategy in the sector.
