Adventurers, gather ’round the campfire (or brazier, in this case)! Diablo 4 Drums of the Vault bug is finally getting fixed!
Adventurers, gather ’round the campfire (or brazier, in this case)! We’ve all been eagerly venturing into the icy lands of Sanctuary in Diablo 4 Season 3, battling demons and claiming powerful loot. But one pesky obstacle has been hindering our progress: the Drums of the Vault Seneschal Brazier bug. This fiery glitch has stopped heroes in their tracks, unable to upgrade their construct and advance in the questline.
Diablo Community Manager Marcus Kretz has shared this about the infamous Diablo 4 Drums of the Vault bug on X:
There is currently an issue in the @Diablo IV Seasonal Questline where players cannot interact with the brazier to upgrade their construct and advance the quest.
The current workaround for this will be that players need to enter a new instance. 1/3

How to fix the Diablo 4 Drums of the Vault bug?
Fear not, brave Nephalem! Blizzard has heard our frustrated bellows and offered a temporary workaround while they forge a permanent fix. So, grab your adventurer’s journal and scribble down these steps to fix the Diablo 4 Drums of the Vault bug:
- Teleport away: Channel your inner Wayfinder and use a teleport from the Gatehall hub. Any portal will do, so choose your fancy
- Log out and in: Time for a quick pit stop! Step through the ethereal rift between realities by logging out of the game. Then, jump back in, feeling refreshed and ready to conquer
- Return to the brazier: With renewed determination, retrace your steps and head back to the Drums of the Vault. Hopefully, the flames of the Seneschal Brazier will now burn bright, allowing you to upgrade your construct and continue your glorious conquest
- Repeat if needed: This might not be a one-shot solution. Some adventurers report needing to perform this fiery waltz a few times before the bug relinquishes its grasp. Don’t fret, persistence is key
Remember: This is just a temporary fix while Blizzard works on a permanent solution. Keep your eyes peeled for updates, brave heroes! While you wait, why not explore other icy corners of Sanctuary, hunt down some juicy Legendary loot, or engage in a friendly (or fiery) brawl in PvP
And that’s it! That should do the trick to fix the Diablo 4 Drums of the Vault bug!
What is Diablo 4 upgrade Seneschal?
In Diablo 4 Season 3, the “upgrade seneschal” refers to enhancing your Seneschal Construct, a powerful companion introduced with the season. This companion fights alongside you and can be customized with Governing Stones and Tuning Stones.
Upgrading your Seneschal involves interacting with the Seneschal Brazier located in the Gatehall hub. By offering specific types of Governing and Tuning Stones to the brazier, you can increase your Seneschal’s level and unlock new abilities. These abilities enhance your companion’s offensive and defensive capabilities, making them a more valuable asset in battle.
However, as noted in the blog post you prompted me to write, there’s currently a bug affecting the Seneschal Brazier. Sometimes, interacting with it to upgrade your Construct doesn’t work as intended. The workaround provided in the post can help you bypass this bug temporarily while Blizzard works on a permanent fix.
Here’s a quick summary of the “upgrade seneschal” process:
- Location: Seneschal Brazier in the Gatehall hub
- Materials: Governing and Tuning Stones of specific types
- Benefits: Increased level and new abilities for your Seneschal Construct
- Current bug: Interaction with the brazier might not upgrade your Construct
- Workaround: Teleport, log out/in, and interact with the brazier again
So, chin up, Nephalem! This temporary flameout won’t stop us from conquering the evils of Sanctuary. With a bit of patience, a pinch of luck, and this workaround in our back pocket, we’ll be slaying demons and claiming legendary loot in no time!
Now go forth, heroes, and let the fires of adventure burn bright as you have now successfully fixed the Diablo 4 Drums of the Vault bug!
