The LEGO Avengers Tower leak, numbered 76269, has provided LEGO fans with a sneak view of the impending set. The largest LEGO Marvel set of 2023, with over 5,200 pieces and measuring tall at over 35 inches, is anticipated to reach the market later this year. But it’s the 31 minifigures that come with it that have everyone talking.
LEGO Avengers Tower leak reveals the 5,200-piece goodie
According to 9to5Toys, a highly-anticipated LEGO Avengers Tower set has been unveiled at the New York Comic Con, creating a perfect stage for the occasion. As the showstopper of LEGO’s 2023 lineup, the excitement among fans is palpable.
This colossal marvel adheres to the well-established baseplate system found in prior sets such as the Daily Bugle and Sanctum Sanctorum. It outdoes its predecessors, though, with a whopping 5,201 parts, culminating in a sleek and magnificent 35.5-inch tall model. Though the stolen shot is a little blurry, it provides a tantalizing taste of what’s to come.
A Universe of Marvel in LEGO bricks
What distinguishes this LEGO Avengers Tower is that it does not focus on a particular Marvel film but rather on the magic of the first 10 years of the cinematic universe. This implies a diverse range of characters and ideas across the whole MCU.
There’s more to the set than just the famous Avengers Tower. It also includes interesting side projects like small Quinjet and Chitauri miniatures. Notably, the Leviathan from the Battle of New York, a highlight of the original Avengers film, is recreated in LEGO form, replete with a Chitauri Chariot for additional flare.
Perhaps the most exciting feature of this kit is the large number of minifigures included. It establishes a new record in the LEGO Marvel world and is a rare event among LEGO sets in general, with a whopping 31 distinct figures. These figures live up to the Avengers Tower motif, with Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Falcon, Vision, Ant-Man, the Wasp, and a redesigned Hulk BigFig.
Along with the major protagonists, the collection contains side figures like Pepper Potts, Nick Fury, Helen Cho, and four Chitauri warriors, as well as the nefarious Loki. The folks at 9to5Toys reported that they don’t have any information regarding the rest of the lineup, but it is expected to be revealed pretty soon.
