There are many social media and messaging apps, and most people use multiple of these. Beeper helps you gather your messages in one place so that you will have an efficient workplace. But is Beeper safe? Let’s answer that together.
It becomes very messy dealing with all these different social media and communication apps and services. Sometimes our friends send us a message on Instagram, and because you have all these other apps and also texts, it is hard for you to catch everything, but Beeper is there for you. Is Beeper safe, though?
Is Beeper safe to use?
According to the official announcement, yes, Beeper is safe. The application uses end-to-end encryption, which protects your messages. If you are still asking yourself, “Is Beeper safe?” here is what the company says on its official FAQ page:
“Yes. All messages sent to other Beeper or Matrix users are by default encrypted with end-to-end encryption. That means we cannot read your messages when they are sent to other Beeper users. Beeper’s end-to-end-encryption is built using components from the Matrix protocol core team. For (many) more details on Matrix encryption, check out this video and accompanying slides.”

End-to-end encryption (E2EE) is a secure communication technique that makes it impossible for outsiders to access data while it is transported from one end system or device to another.
Only the intended receiver can decode the data in an E2EE transaction since it is encrypted on the sending system or device. The communication cannot be read or altered while in transit by an internet service provider (ISP), an application service provider, a hacker, or any other person, group, or service.

Beeper manages everything; all the various standards and protocols are maintained for you behind the scenes, so you shouldn’t have to waste time switching between chat apps. Beeper currently has a waiting list, but we can access it and demonstrate how it works.
The majority of the functions you regularly use on chat applications like WhatsApp, iMessage, and Telegram should be supported by Beeper, according to the developers. All of the essential functions, including sending and receiving messages, adding new contacts, group conversations, image/video chats, emoji reactions, stickers, replies, and disappearing messages, are supported by Beeper.
You must launch the native chat app to use other capabilities, such as video calls, polling, and starting new group conversations. Here is a list of all compatible devices.
How much is Beeper?
Beeper is free. Additionally, they will provide a premium membership option called Beeper Plus that offers extra features, including a bigger chat history backup, unrestricted network access, and more.
For the time being, all of Beeper Plus’ features are available to everyone without charge. The business will start charging $5–10 per month for Beeper Plus at some point in 2023. Before that starts, they’ll give you a heads-up and automatically transfer everyone to the free plan.
