One significant aspect of progression in the vast and challenging world of Raft net launcher ammo is quite crucial as survival depends on resourcefulness and progression. As players navigate the open seas, gathering materials and exploring islands, they’ll encounter various opportunities to enhance their gameplay. Hence, in Raft, capturing animals to join the crew in their floating sanctuary is quite a big deal.

To accomplish this, players must craft a net launcher and its essential ammunition, known as net canisters. In this article, we will delve into the process of crafting net launcher ammo and provide valuable tips for effectively utilizing it in the game.

How to unlock Raft net launcher ammo?

Before players can craft net canisters, they must first unlock them by crafting the net launcher. This remarkable device opens up a world of possibilities, enabling players to capture animals and expand their floating community. Once the net launcher is created, players gain access to the coveted net canisters, which are necessary for immobilizing and capturing creatures.

Crafting net canisters

Creating net canisters requires a few key ingredients, including Explosive Powder, Stone, and Rope. However, obtaining Explosive Powder is the most challenging part of this process. To acquire it, players must face off against a formidable aquatic adversary known as the Poison-Puffer. These unique fish can be found in the waters surrounding islands, with a higher chance of encountering them on larger story-based lands like Caravan Island.

When a Poison-Puffer is defeated, it will drop at least one Explosive Goo, with a 1/3 chance of an additional drop. Players should collect these valuable resources and place them into a Smelter on their raft. The Smelter will transform the Explosive Goo into the highly sought-after Explosive Powder, a crucial component for crafting net canisters.

Stone, the second ingredient, is relatively abundant throughout the game world. Players can easily gather stone by exploring islands or using tools like the Hook to collect them while floating on the raft. Rope, the final ingredient, is crafted from two Palm Leaves, which can be found on trees scattered across the islands.

Optimizing your net canister usage

While players may be tempted to craft numerous net canisters, it’s important to consider space limitations on the raft. Animals require ample room to graze on grass and generate the materials they provide. In most cases, crafting more than five net canisters is unnecessary, as the benefits of capturing additional animals might be outweighed by the space they occupy.

However, it’s worth noting that wielding the net launcher effectively requires practice and patience. Livestock tends to flee from players, and the net canister projectile has a quicker drop rate compared to other weapons in Raft. Achieving accuracy when firing requires honing one’s skills over time, mastering the art of predicting the animal’s movements and adjusting aim accordingly.

In Raft, the ability to capture animals and expand the floating sanctuary is a significant milestone for players. Crafting net launcher ammo, specifically the net canisters, is a crucial step towards achieving this goal. By defeating Poison-Puffers and gathering Explosive Goo, players can produce Explosive Powder in their Smelter. Combined with readily available Stone and crafted Rope, they can create Raft net launcher ammo to immobilize and capture animals effectively.
