Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK) is the latest entry in The Legend of Zelda franchise. The game is a successor to the critically successful Breath of the Wild, and it boasts a large open environment, new powers, and an engrossing tale that transports Link and Zelda to the strange islands floating above Hyrule. In our TOTK hardest boss list, we gathered five of the hardest bosses in the game.

However, TOTK is not a simple game. It presents players with intricate puzzles, hazardous opponents, and tough bosses that must be defeated with skill and strategy. Based on our own experience and comments from other players, we will rate the five hardest bosses in TOTK in this post. We’ll also give you some pointers on how to beat them. Please keep in mind that this page includes game spoilers, so proceed at your own risk.

TOTK hardest boss: Full list

In our TOTK hardest boss list, we will talk about the creatures that you will want to avoid while playing the game. These creatures are very hard to beat, but unfortunately, you will have to beat the mat at some point to continue your progress.

However, they are one of the most important aspects of a successful game. The hardest bosses in games make them more appealing and fun. Here is our top 5 TOTK hardest boss list that you should definitely take a look at!

Obsidian Frox

Obsidian Frox is one of the hardest bosses in the game

Obsidian Frox are gigantic, hungry beasts who live under Hyrule’s surface in the Depths. They are exclusive to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and are terrifying beasts. You may, however, master the skill of beating them with the appropriate techniques.

Obsidian Frox can only be found in the depths under Hyrule’s surface, namely below Hyrule Ridge and the Gerudo Highlands. If you’re looking for a fight with an Obsidian Frox, you’ll find one just north of the Katenim Lightroot.

Gloom Hands

totk hardest boss
Gloom Hands is also known as “Red Hands”

Gloom Hands (commonly known as “red hands” by gamers and officially known as Gloom Spawn by the game) will charge at you at breakneck speed and grasp you, shattering your hearts in the process. The Gloom Hands are terrifying at first, as shown in the Lost Woods and the Korok Forest of Gloom, but if you come prepared, you’ll quickly realize that there’s nothing to fear.

Aside from the difficulty, this is the most horrifying boss in Tears of the Kingdom. It’s terrible enough that you have to confront these in-game when you see them much too frequently in your dreams. The drawback with Gloom Hands is that they are simple to obtain cheap kills on.

You recall fighting the Gloom Hands on the top of Akkala Citadel. You can locate a perch that they are unable to reach. The Gloom Hands eventually dies of natural causes. This is what limits the Gloom Hands from being ranked higher; players may simply seek high ground.

Lynel

totk hardest boss
If you are new to the game, Lynel can be very hard for you to beat

The Lynel is a frequent sub-boss in the Legend of Zelda series who may be rather daunting, especially to the inexperienced and unprepared. These centaur villains are not only quick on their feet but also extremely powerful and impervious to all environments.

The half-lion, half-deer monstrosities in Tears of the Kingdom are just as terrifying as they were in Breath of the Wild. Lynels may be found across Hyrule, and with their massive sweeps, deadly arrows, and real fireballs spewing out of their mouths, they have a lot for Link to watch out for.

Lynels are so difficult to defeat that it’s best to avoid them for a time. The Red Lynels are probably the only ones Link should try to battle early on, but even then, it’s only a smart idea if Link has a powerful weapon. Blue, White, and Silver Lynels are strong suckers that should be saved for the mid and late game.

Battle Talus

totk hardest boss
Battle Talus is a massive rock creature

Battle Talus also made it to our TOTK hardest boss list. A massive rock monster ridden by a swarm of Bokoblins, it may be a difficult adversary to deal with, especially since it might appear out of nowhere to surprise you or if you don’t know exactly where it’s one and only weak place is. Players will be unable to beat the Battle Talus unless they are skilled at multitasking. This version of the Talus will have multiple Bokoblins on top of it, which means that Link will have to avoid more fire while attempting to climb on top of the beast.

This adversary will appear weaker as Link gains strength. The majority of Battle Talus creatures in the game will have Red Bokoblins on top of them, making them simple kills. The most challenging aspect of fighting the Battle Talus is getting on top of it, whether by updrafts or by waiting for it to drop its shoulder.

Gleeok

totk hardest boss
Gleeok is the first in our top 5 TOTK hardest boss list

When you consider all of the abilities Link requires to defeat a Gleeok, it’s rather astounding. Gleeok is the first creature in our TOTK hardest boss list. Regardless of the type of Gleeok, players must either dodge or block multiple beams, each of which may one-shot Link to death if they do not have enhanced armor. Players will also have three heads to knock out, each having their own health meter, simply to get the Gleeok down to where Link can swing at it.

Gleeoks are also quite tough. To inflict damage to any of the Gleeoks, players will need to use the greatest weapons in their arsenal. Given the amount of food, weapons, armor, and other resources required to defeat one Gleeok, it’s difficult to imagine any other boss being more difficult to defeat.
