He started by going through Riot’s ranked philosophy and the adjustments that are currently taking place. “Historically, League’s ranking distribution has been heavily weighted toward the bottom. Most other competitive-rated games include versions of Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum that are generally similar in size, except Iron at the bottom and Diamond+ at the top.
Accordingly, Bronze and Silver indicate players who are below average or average, while Gold and Platinum, respectively, represent players who are above average or very good. “However, the majority of players often fall into the Silver and Bronze rankings, with our ranks typically slanted low. At the moment, Gold players are well above average, while many Silver players are genuinely above average in skill.
League of Legends new ranked system
This indicates that the Silver rank in League of Legends has greater talent than what the appearance of their public ranks would suggest. “We label a significant portion of players one tier lower than the majority of games with similar ranking systems,” the study found. A significant portion of the player base will be able to achieve a higher rank as a result of the adjustments made to the Ranked ladder ship.
On the other hand, Riot Revenancer stressed the significance of maintaining the “exclusivity and prestige” of the top levels, and as a result, they will not alter the rank structure in what they refer to as the “Apex Tiers” of Master+. Other changes
