Valorant Premier Mode explained

Valorant, the popular team-based tactical shooter developed by Riot Games, is about to get even more intense with the introduction of Valorant Premier Global.

This exciting new tournament mode aims to provide players with a highly competitive and structured environment where they can test their skills against other teams and earn rewards. In this article, we will delve into the intricacies of Premier and explore why it’s the ultimate choice for players seeking a challenging and rewarding Valorant experience.

Meeting the eligibility requirements

Prior to immersing themselves in the Premier action, players need to fulfill specific criteria to ensure fairness and competitive gameplay. These criteria include being at least 13 years old and possessing a valid Riot Games account. Moreover, every player must successfully complete placement matches in ranked mode to become eligible for Premier. Lastly, players are required to have a fully verified account.

To put it simply, if you lack a valid in-game rank, you will first need to participate in several competitive matches to attain a rank. Conversely, if your account is not verified, you will need to go through the verification process via SMS.

The inner workings of Valorant Premier

Valorant Premier operates on a seasonal basis, with each season spanning several months. During a season, players have the opportunity to create or join a team consisting of seven dedicated individuals, 5 in the main roster plus 2 substitutes. These teams will then embark on a thrilling journey, competing in weekly matches against other teams within their division.

In order to qualify for the tournament, a team needs to earn a Premier score of 375 points. Teams earn 100 points for a weekly match win, and 25 points for a loss. Tournament matches do not award any points.

There are 20 divisions in total, and the team is seeded based on the average MMR of the top five players. Every team will play 2 matches weekly, so it is important for all the team members to be available at the scheduled time. In addition to that, all matches will have a map pick and a ban system, just like professional Valorant matches.

The tournament utilizes a single-elimination bracket format, where the most skilled teams battle it out for the coveted title of Premier Champion. The stakes are high, as teams strive to secure their place in the end-of-season tournament

Valorant Premier Rewards

Valorant Premier Mode explained

Valorant Premier isn’t just about the thrill of competition—it also offers enticing rewards for dedicated participants. Players have the opportunity to earn unique in-game cosmetics, banners, and titles. These rewards act as both a symbol of accomplishment and a testament to the player’s dedication to their craft.

Current rewards:

  • Premier Beta Participation Banner and Title
  • Premier Beta Champions Banner and Title

In order to unlock the participation banner, it is enough to complete only 1 Premier match. As for the champions banner, you’ll need to win the whole playoff tournament within your region.

Advantages of Valorant Premier

Valorant Premier is more than just a platform for competition—it’s an immersive experience that brings numerous benefits to aspiring Valorant players.

Premier provides a structured and organized competitive environment that goes beyond the traditional Ranked mode. The strict team-based format encourages players to work closely with their teammates, fostering teamwork and communication skills. This environment allows players to refine their strategies and enhance their overall gameplay.

But most importantly, Premier serves as a valuable platform for players to build their reputation within the Valorant community. By participating in Premier and showcasing their talents, players have the opportunity to attract the attention of professional teams or engage in networking opportunities that could open doors to further tournaments and exciting endeavors. Who knows, maybe you are good enough to compete in the professional Valorant League and some team may come to scout you. You’ll never know if you don’t try first.

Final thoughts

Valorant Premier is an exciting addition to the already vibrant Valorant ecosystem. It offers players a highly competitive and structured environment, where teamwork, strategy, and skill are put to the test. If you consider yourself a dedicated and passionate Valorant player seeking the ultimate competitive experience, then Valorant Premier is undoubtedly worth exploring.

Prepare yourself for exciting matches, remarkable rewards, and the chance to establish your name among the Valorant elite. Are you ready to embrace the challenge and take your Valorant journey to new heights with Premier? The battleground awaits your arrival.
