How to get Heir Apparent Destiny 2
To participate in Guardian Games 2023, talk to Eva Levante in the Tower and complete the intro quest “Top of Class“. This quest will explain the basics of the event and give you access to your Event Card. Your Event Card will track your progress throughout the event and show you how many Medallions you’ve earned.
Medallions are the currency of Guardian Games and can be earned by completing Guardian Games-approved activities. These activities include Strikes, Gambit, Crucible, and more. Each activity will reward you with one or more Medallions, depending on the difficulty and length of the activity.
Once you’ve earned Medallions, you can dunk them on the Podium at the center of the Tower Courtyard. Dunking Medallions will earn Tower Podium points for your class’s team. The team with the most points at the end of the event will win the Guardian Games and be rewarded with special emblems and other goodies.
Completing Contender Cards is another way to earn Tower Podium points for your class’s team. Contender Cards are challenges that can be completed in either PvP or PvE activities. They range in difficulty from Bronze to Platinum and will reward you with Medallions and points depending on the difficulty and completion level.
Getting the Heir Apparent Destiny 2’s exotic machine gun
The Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun is obtained by completing the Top of Class quest. To start this quest, talk to Eva Levante in the Tower and equip your event Class Item. This will give you a buff that will allow you to progress through the quest more quickly.
The Top of Class quest requires you to get 100 kills with a Machine Gun in any Guardian Games-approved activity. You can use any Machine Gun for this quest, so use the one you’re most comfortable with. It’s recommended that you use a Machine Gun with a high ammo capacity, such as Thunderlord or Xenophage, to make the kills go faster.
Once you’ve completed the Top of Class quest, you’ll receive the Heir Apparent Destny 2’s Exotic Machine Gun. The Heir Apparent has an intrinsic perk called Heavy Slug Thrower, which requires you to hold the aim button to spin up the weapon before firing. While the weapon is spinning up, you’ll be vulnerable to enemy attacks, so be careful.
Getting the Heir Apparent Catalyst quest
The Heir Apparent Catalyst Quest is obtained by dunking more Medallions on the Podium after completing the Top of Class quest. This will add the Competitive Catalyst quest to your Event Card.
The Competitive Catalyst quest requires you to earn 50 Medal Points, complete three Contender Cards from either PvP or PvE, and get 100 Competitive Spirits via Machine Gun kills. Medal Points are earned by obtaining Medallions, with higher-tier Medallions worth more points. Completing Contender Cards will also earn you Medallions and points.
Competitive Spirits are obtained by getting kills with a Machine Gun in any Guardian Games-approved activity. Precision final blows grant bonus progress, so try to aim for the head. Once you’ve completed the Competitive Catalyst quest, you’ll receive the Heir Apparent Destiny 2 Catalyst.
The Heir Apparent Catalyst increases the weapon’s effectiveness by improving its Armor of the Colossus perk and increasing the drop rate of Orbs of Power when using the weapon. However, before you can enjoy these benefits, you’ll need to activate the Catalyst.
Activating the Heir Apparent Catalyst
To activate the Heir Apparent Catalyst, you’ll need to get around 500+ kills with the weapon. This may sound like a lot, but it can be done relatively quickly if you focus on Guardian Games-approved activities and use the Heir Apparent exclusively.
Once you’ve reached the 500+ kill threshold, your Catalyst will be fully activated, and you’ll be able to enjoy its benefits. The Armor of the Colossus perk will provide you with an Arc shield while at full health, and kills with the weapon will generate Orbs of Power for you and your allies.
Obtaining the Heir Apparent Destiny 2 and its Catalyst Quest during Guardian Games 2023 requires some effort and dedication, but it’s well worth it if you’re a fan of heavy weapons. By following this guide, you’ll be able to acquire these prized items and take your Guardian to the next level.
