RE4 Remake: Best weapons for each category
Here are the best RE4 Remake weapons for each category:
- Best Knife: Fighting Knife
- Best Handgun: Red9 (with stock)
- Best Shotgun: Riot Gun
- Best Rifle: Stingray
- Best Submachine Gun: Chicago Sweeper
- Best Magnum: Killer7
- Best Misc. weapon: Rocket Launcher
Of course, given the limitations of your carry capacity, this doesn’t mean you should always be armed to the teeth. Instead, think about what you have ammo for and what weapon kinds you find most interesting while making your choice. Because of that, you need to learn what they offer.
Fighting Knife
Later in the game, when you’ve beaten Krauser, you’ll be able to use the Fighting Knife. However, once you get it and bring it into a new game plus playthrough, it will serve as your companion regardless of whether or not Ashley is there.
Red 9
The Red 9 handgun, which can be recovered from the lake, is extremely powerful and is among the best in the game. It has a wide range but can be tuned with the greatest upgrades available in Resident Evil 4. Once you add it to your shopping cart, though, there will be no turning back.
Riot Gun
The Riot Gun, everyone’s favorite shotgun, can be purchased from the Merchant’s Store after the sequence in which you and Luis defend the house. You should definitely invest in it because it deals more damage and has more range than the standard model, and can pierce through enemies at a respectable distance.
Stingray
When it comes to magazine size and overall quality, the Stingray is unrivaled in the game. It is the most reliable and stable firearm available, which is why it was selected.
Chicago Sweeper
Due to its enormous magazine capacity and high damage output, the Chicago Sweeper is our preferred SMG in Resident Evil 4. You’ll need to put in some time and effort to get it and the endless ammo variant of it in the Resident Evil 4 remake, but once you do, the weapon will be indispensable.
To earn this prohibition-era tommy gun, you must first complete the game’s main story, then unlock and beat the game’s professional mode with an A rank or above.
Killer7
The Killer7, available from the Merchant’s Shop after completing the castle and reaching the Wharf by boat, is a superior option to the Broken Butterfly because to its superior controllability, high penetration, and built-in laser sight.
Rocket Launcher
Once Del Lago is dead, this weapon can be purchased from the Merchant. It’s a neat novelty to have, but since it’s a one-shot deal and you can’t reload it, it’s not really useful. It’s essentially a way to bypass any encounter; if a boss is giving you trouble, all you need to do is acquire this weapon, use it on them, and the fight will be finished. On the other hand, the Merchant will sell you a rocket launcher with unlimited ammunition if you start a new game.
