What is the difference between remaster and remake?

In the world of video games, there are three distinct terms used to describe the process of updating or revisiting an existing title: remaster, remake, and reboot.

A remaster involves improving the game’s visuals without altering its other key elements.

A remake, on the other hand, is a complete overhaul of a game’s design, while still maintaining its original characters and story.

Finally, a reboot is a brand new game that features a fresh storyline, often incorporating some elements of the original game.
