In Hogwarts Legacy Sebastian Sallow questline is one of the saddest storylines you’ll ever come across. Hogwarts Legacy will likely have themes and ideas that Harry Potter aficionados would recognize.
For instance, it already appears very certain that Hogwarts Legacy would adhere to the stereotypes of the original material on which students are depicted in their correct Hogwarts houses. The player’s interactions with written companion characters from each house, such as Sebastian Sallow, Poppy Sweeting, and Natsai Onai, may be where this is most apparent. The Hogwarts Legacy promotion has focused primarily on Sebastian up to this point.
The marketing for Sebastian appears to have been an attempt to show the more sinister side of magic in Hogwarts Legacy. As well as the Azkaban quest we wrote about in the following link, Hogwarts Legacy Azkaban quest, the game introduces much content from the darker side of the franchise as well. In its most recent previews, the game appears to be heavily influenced by horror, and Sebastian’s special companion quest might take players through some of its most troubled narrative sections.
It is unknown how many companions players in Hogwarts Legacy will be able to have at once, but if they choose to befriend Sebastian and embark upon the Hogwarts Legacy Sebastian Sallow questline, it might be a little trickier for them to correct him when they find out why he did what he did. Therefore, let’s dig deeper into the Hogwarts Legacy Sebastian Sallow questline.
Hogwarts Legacy Sebastian Sallow questline details
In Hogwarts Legacy Sebastian Sallow questline, a male student from Slytherin House, Sebastian Sallow comes from a difficult family whose secret has not yet been exposed in the game. Sebastian’s sister became gravely ill following a tragic encounter with the goblin Ranrok, prompting Sebastian to embark on a quest to acquire the Dark Arts in the hopes that they can help rescue his sister.
Although Sebastian may share other Slytherins’ propensity for breaking the law or being in inappropriate places, his motivations for being in the restricted area of the library or researching Salazar Slytherin may be considerably more sympathetic. Sebastian can strike the ideal mix between being realistic in his motivations for using dark magic and needing the player to prevent him from forgetting why he first experimented with it.
Players may get to choose whether Sebastian obtains melancholy closure or turns into an adversary wielding an Unforgivable Curse if there is no way to come to terms with Sebastian’s sister being terminally sick without probable treatment.
It is now known that, should they choose to complete Hogwarts Legacy Sebastian Sallow questline, the game would teach players the Cruciatus Curse. More doubtful is how Crucio would be of any use to Sebastian or his sister, given that the curse’s intended effect is to subject someone to severe bodily suffering. As a piece of theatrical irony, it’s possible that the characters in the game are oblivious to the spell’s effects because Sebastian evidently thinks that it has the power to save his sister’s life. It may affect what happens to them or how other characters view them if players decide to learn the magic themselves.
