Tekken 8 Nina Williams’ playable character and gameplay trailer have been released. Both a separate clip confirming Nina Williams as a playable character and a 37-minute “New Gameplay Mechanics Introduction” trailer for Tekken 8 has been released by Bandai Namco, the developer, and publisher of the Tekken series.

TEKKEN 8, powered by Unreal Engine 5, is a game that takes advantage of the capabilities of new-generation gaming hardware and technology. The game can only be played on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC digital platforms.

One of the standout features of TEKKEN 8 is its high-definition character models, with skin and hair that are more detailed and realistic than ever before. The game also boasts visually stunning graphics, such as the way muscles move and shift in response to character movement.

The TEKKEN franchise holds the distinction of having the longest-running story of any video game series. As previously teased at the end of TEKKEN 7, the new installment will focus on the highly anticipated showdown between Kazuya Mishima and his son, Jin Kazama.

Tekken 8 Nina Williams is similar to the Nina we know

Nina Williams is a fictional character and a recurring player character in the Tekken fighting game franchise developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. She is one of the original characters in the series and is known for her distinctive appearance and signature fighting style. Nina has been a playable character in several entries in the Tekken series and is one of the franchise’s most popular and recognizable characters.

In the case of Tekken 8 Nina Williams, although many new movements have come, the main lines and movements of the character have not changed much. After all, Tekken is distinguished from other games on the market as a fighting game that is famous for preserving the story of its characters.

You may check that all features and combos of the Nina Williams character have been displayed in a second trailer that Bandai Namco, as well as her one-liners.

What are the new mechanics in Tekken 8?

Since we’re done talking about Tekken 8 Nina Williams, let’s talk a little bit about the innovations that came to the game. In the trailer, Tekken game directors Katsuhiro Harada and Kohei Ikeda explain the newly added mechanics and their effects in the game.

Rage system

The Rage system which has been a feature of the franchise since Tekken 6 has made a comeback in Tekken 8. The Rage Drive has been replaced with the new Heat System, but Rage Arts can still be accessible through the Rage System.

It can also be seen that the Rage Art command now accepts all input types. The inputs now are down-forward and two punches, regardless of which character the player is using.

Heat system

As for the new Heat System, it uses a blue glow to show the state of the heat. For around 10 seconds, this blue glow will be there, but attacks (both on hit and on block) will trigger the timer to momentarily pause.

A Heat Engager or a Heat Burst can be used to start the Heat System. On both a hit and a block, a Heat Burst will activate the Heat System and place the user in a favorable frame.

The new “Rage” system, “Recovery” gauge, “Heat” system and control styles have all been featured in the “New Gameplay Mechanics Introduction” trailer which you can watch below.

Tekken 8 release date

Tekken 8 is currently under development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The release date of the game has not yet been announced. However, it’s unlikely that the game will be released any time soon; the earliest estimates for its release date are late 2023 or, more likely, 2024. Currently, there is no official announcement of the game’s release date.

When is the Tekken 8 closed alpha test period?

Finally, a closed alpha test will be carried out in a few selected sites throughout the world, according to Bandai Namco’s announcement. The goal of these Tekken 8 testing is going to be to obtain input on the game’s mechanics and combat in order to improve the experience. Don’t worry you get to play Tekken 8 Nina Williams in the closed alpha period.
