On February 4, revanchisto, a Reddit user, posted what appeared to be Dragon Age Dreadwolf gameplay leaks that includes a few pictures and a brief gameplay trailer for Dreadwolf, the upcoming Dragon Age sequel from Bioware. However, you can still view some of the pictures live on Twitter from user @mintsoir, as well as shared by author Felipe Pepe. Revanchisto has since removed their photographs and video. The remaining pictures and gameplay video on Twitter depict the inventory screen of the game and some combat mechanics.
Looking at the leaked Dragon Age: Dreadwolf screenshots and videos, one game immediately jumps to mind: Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin pic.twitter.com/rRmbGLEFx1

What happens in the Dragon Age Dreadwolf gameplay leaks?
This nameless elf warrior engages in combat with several Darkspawn-looking foes while using a vicious drop kick and a charged sword attack. The third-person combat camera is closer than in Inquisition, albeit not quite as close as in God of War (2018).
As Pepe points out, similarly to that of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, the combat is fully actionized, with the same Soulslite evading, blocking, and positioning. Similar to Inquisition, your combat skills are assigned to controller face buttons.
The version of Dreadwolf’s inventory that we see is incredibly minimalist and abstract, with crisp lines and a sort of gooey, swirling cosmic background. It reminds Inquisition or Dragon Age 2.
Between slots for armor, helmets, weapons, and accessories is a full 3D character model, some of which are hidden by a tooltip popup for a “Connected Templar Shield.” Strangely, it contains a lore blurb that links it to the Mortalitasi order of Thedas’ country Nevarra.
We might have got a clue on the game’s location thanks to Dragon Age Dreadwolf gameplay leaks
In these new Dragon Age Dreadwolf gameplay leaks, a sword-and-board-wielding elf warrior is shown fighting through a stone vault in the gameplay clip and screenshots that are currently available.
The UI suggests that this is Weisshaupt Fortress, the fabled Grey Wardens’ headquarters in the Anderfels, north of Ferelden in Origins. This is unexpected, but it’s also not too distant from Tevinter, the previously revealed setting for Dreadwolf, and it is possible that this Weisshaupt level is a standalone version of the Candlekeep/Endar Spire/Ostagar opening areas from classic Bioware games.
Are the Dragon Age Dreadwolf gameplay leaks real?
At least for now, this leak appears to be legitimate, and it may confirm certain Dreadwolf information from a recent Insider Gaming story. The insider claimed that Dreadwolf adheres to a classic Bioware campaign format, with a strong emphasis on assembling a following at a home base hub region, but that it is still battling to remove some of the live service trimmings from its early development.
A fighting system similar to what we can see in this leak was also described by an insider, who claimed it was most similar to Final Fantasy 15. Therefore overall, the current Dragon Age: Dreadwolf gameplay leaks appear to be the real thing.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf release date
Although we have some Dragon Age Dreadwolf gameplay leaks, there is no official announcement of the release date of the first official gameplay trailer, let alone the release date of the game itself. However, there have been several rumors indicating that the game is expected to be released in late 2023. GamesBeat, which spoke to people with firsthand knowledge of the game, is the source of these rumors. The source for GamesBeat said that the role-playing game was on schedule to be released in 2023.
On which platforms will Dragon Age: Dreadwolf be released?
Given the timeline and the fact that the game is still in its early stages of production, it is highly likely that it will only be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, eschewing their predecessors.
