The Falcon Scout is a brand-new piece of equipment in Fortnite that allows the user to fly in the air, marking enemies and collecting resources for the team. The Falcon Scout, a drone-like bird, was released on January 18 with the v23.20 update. It may caw to mark foes and fly over your position to find loot and scavenge.
Learn the best places to locate one and how to keep it under your command.
What does the Falcon Scout do in Fortnite?
To use a Falcon Scout, simply add it to your armory and press the fire button. Once you do so, you’ll be able to see what the scout sees and direct it wherever you like.
The Falcon Scout’s primary ability is to ‘caw’ to identify and mark any enemies within a specified area. You can also rescue a downed teammate by picking them up or obtaining Reboot Cards.
Controlling the scout also allows you to break into containers and retrieve any items within for yourself or your allies.
You can’t just use this; there are certain disclaimers: Keep an eye on its health bar because it can only fly so far from your location, and adversaries can destroy it if they deal enough damage.
Remember that while flying a Falcon Scout, you have no means of self-defense.
This is why it’s best to establish a safe hiding place before launching a Falcon Scout and why you should ideally only use it in duos, trios, or squads where your teammates can cover you.

Where to find Falcon Scout in Fortnite?
Falcon Scouts can be found in Supply Drops, normal Chests, and the ground, but your best bet is to hunt gold and white Oathbound Chests.
However, as we’ve already mentioned, you never know where you’ll stumble upon an Oathbound Chest. The best places to look are inside the castle at The Citadel and near the medieval hamlet area of Faulty Splits.
