Republican State Senator Jim Anderson said, “The Legislature would be saying, ‘If you don’t like our petroleum automobiles, well, we don’t like your electric cars.'” Anderson was the resolution’s sponsor, according to the Cowboy State Daily. For the installation of EV charging stations in the state, Wyoming is set to receive $24 million from the federal government, according to a report published late last year.

WHEREAS, the critical minerals used in electric batteries are not easily recyclable or disposable, meaning that municipal landfills in Wyoming and elsewhere will be required to develop practices to dispose of these minerals in a safe and responsible manner,”.
