Currently, a discussion is going on about Lensa AI all over the internet. Claims suggest that the platform is capable of producing NSFW images of any given person.

With each passing day, interest in Lensa AI, a well-known program that uses artificial intelligence to create avatars of actual people, grows. Users may create digital portraits in a number of styles, from photorealistic paintings to more abstract renderings, by uploading images to the program.

The app’s rising popularity has nevertheless led to controversy and debate regarding the ethics of utilizing AI to produce art as well as its possible effects on real artists. Is Lensa AI stealing art? Well, not only that but there are also claims indicating Lensa AI produces NSFW content.

How do people generate NFSW images with Lensa AI?

TechCrunch revealed an interesting report based on this discussion recently.

They have seen photo collections made with the Lensa app that contain pictures of women’s breasts and nipples that are clearly noticeable next to pictures of recognized people’s faces. They decided to give themselves a try because it appeared like something that shouldn’t have been possible. They produced two sets of Lensa avatars in order to test whether Lensa AI will produce the visuals it possibly shouldn’t:

  • One set, based on 15 photos of a well-known actor.
  • Another set, based on the same 15 photos, but with an additional set of five photos added of the same actor’s face, Photoshopped onto topless models.

The first round of pictures matched the AI avatars they had previously seen Lensa AI generate. But the second set was far “spicier” than they had anticipated. The AI appears to deactivate an NSFW filter after interpreting the Photoshopped images as a license to behave however it pleases.

11 of the 100 images were topless shots, 11 of which had superior quality (or, at the very least, greater aesthetic consistency) than the poorly altered topless photos used as input to the AI.

Creating sexualized images of celebrities using Photoshop or other photo editing tools is a common practice on the internet, but it is wrong and violates the celebrities’ right to privacy. These images often require a significant amount of skill and time to create, but they do not reflect the consent or desires of the individuals depicted. Despite the prevalence of this type of content, it is important to recognize that it is unethical and should not be tolerated.

The widespread use of AI technology in the creation of digital art has raised ethical concerns due to the ease with which users can generate large quantities of realistic images using only a smartphone, an app, and a few dollars.

This makes it possible for people to produce potentially harmful or offensive content without the need for specialized skills or expensive tools. As a result, it is important to consider the potential consequences of this technology and ensure that it is used in a responsible and ethical manner.

So yes, Lensa AI is capable of generating NSFW pictures in minutes

It’s frightening how quickly you can generate images of anyone you can think of (or, at the very least, anyone you have a few pictures of). Your buddies or some random person you met in a bar and swapped Facebook friend statuses with might not have provided authorization for someone to create soft-core pornography of them. When NSFW stuff is added to the mix, things get quite blurry very quickly.

It seems that Lensa AI will happily generate a number of problematic images provided you have 10-15 “real” shots of a person and are prepared to spend the time photoshopping a few fakes.

However, if you are going to use the app for innocent purposes, you can always read our guide on how to use Lensa AI and generate amazing AI powered selfies. Some users are unable to use the service due to high demand, though. But there are always solutions, want to see them?

AI-centric future of ours may not look so bright after all

The use of AI to create pornography has the potential to significantly impact people’s lives in a number of ways. It can lead to the exploitation and objectification of individuals, particularly women, and may contribute to the normalization of harmful attitudes and behaviors. Additionally, the use of AI to generate realistic, non-consensual sexual images has the potential to cause serious harm to the individuals depicted and their loved ones.

It is important to recognize the potential negative consequences of this technology and take steps to prevent its misuse. If you are bothered by the contreversy around Lensa AI, you can always opt for the best free alternatives and learn how to use them by visiting our tutorial!
