With changes to the Overwatch 2 scoreboard, many are asking themselves what is MIT in Overwatch 2, so we are going to tell you what it means and more.
Blizzard Entertainment developed and released Overwatch 2, a first-person shooter. As a successor to the 2016 hero shooter Overwatch, the game plans to provide permanent cooperative activities as well as a shared world for player-versus-player scenarios. As you battle it out over the world, you can play as a time-jumping freedom warrior, a beat-dropping battlefield DJ, or one of over 30 other distinct characters. Enjoy high-octane battle with a new hero lineup, additional locations to explore, and 5v5 combat that offers every player game-changing power. Make sure to visit the official website to learn more about the game.
If you participated in Overwatch 2’s first PvP Beta testing or simply started playing after the game was free to play, you may have noticed some of the modifications Blizzard made to the characters and gameplay. Orisa, for example, has been reworked, and three new heroes have been introduced. These improvements and new additions are a breath of fresh air for the massive fandom because Overwatch has been out for more than six years, and while new additions are being added through patches, it has obviously lost most of the hype that it created in the first few years.
What is MIT in Overwatch 2?
The structure of the newest Overwatch 2 scoreboard has been drastically modified, and some new metrics have been included. Many people are curious what is MIT in Overwatch 2. It is a new stat marker that represents the overall damage averted by the player. Damage mitigation includes not just damage absorbed by barriers, but also mitigation from abilities like Ana’s Nano Boost and Orisa’s Fortify. The statistic is currently being developed and will ultimately incorporate damage reduction abilities such as Lucio’s Sound Barrier.

Overwatch 2 scoreboard changes
Blizzard has updated the Overwatch 2 scoreboard better with enhancements. For one thing, having numerical amounts for teammates’ Ultimate charge is useful. The layout has been changed to focus on what appears to be the most important information, despite the fact that objective time no longer appears to matter for all heroes. Eliminations, assists, deaths, damage, healing, and damage reduced are all statistics. Assist combines defensive and offensive Overwatch assists. That’s great since, in the past, most people couldn’t always determine how the figures were derived.
During a game, there are additional private data, such as those for certain characters, which correlate to the bottom-right area of the Overwatch 1 scoreboard. However, certain statistics have yet to be incorporated. There appear to be role-based ones, such as “objective contest timings” for tanks, “last hits” for DPS, and “heroes saved” for support heroes, to mention a few. We believe that these three measures should be applied to all characters.
