How to get the Cuphead Cursed Relic?
You must first purchase and equip the Broken Relic. The three pieces of climbing equipment on the podiums next to Porkrind’s Emporium must then be spoken with. At order to remember what they say verbatim in a moment, make a note of what they say. Thirdly, you must proceed to the cemetery on the island’s south side. Although there is a shortcut behind Porkrind’s Emporium, you can actually reach there by beating the stages Bootlegger Boogie and High-Noon Hoopla if you’re in a hurry. There are three rows of gravestones in the cemetery when you arrive. If you have the Broken Relic with you, ghosts will appear whenever you interact with the headstones. There is no foolproof way because this conversation shifts with each playthrough, which is the one drawback.

- The shovel said “Second place just ain’t right! Down one place from last year.”
- The pickaxe said “Third place? I guess things can only go up from here!”

What does Broken Relic do in Cuphead DLC?
A blue light will come on in the cemetery’s center if you enter the right code. You can interact with it to be sent to a boss battle in the shadows. If you prevail in this challenging battle, your Broken Relic will be changed into a Cursed Relic, which when equipped causes your HP to drop to 1 and randomly shuffles your weapons.
