Destiny 2 Menagerie weapons are among the most dependable weapons in the game. If you know which Destiny 2 Menagerie rune combinations to feed the Chalice, the Menagerie is the most dependable method to get the weapons and armor pieces you desire. In addition to making obsolete gear more accessible, the activity also introduced new Destiny 2 Menagerie weapons and armor sets for players to hunt down.
In this Destiny 2 Menagerie weapons guide, we’d like to draw your attention to the seven brand-new weapons that may be obtained through the Menagerie. You’ll need all seven of these weapons for a Triumph, and many of them are best-in-class guns with special bonuses, so it’s worth hunting down these Destiny 2 Menagerie weapons.
New seven Destiny 2 Menagerie weapons
Here are all the new seven Destiny 2 Menagerie weapons:
Menagerie SMG: Calus Mini Tool
The Calus Mini Tool is a more advanced version of the Mida Mini Tool, a legendary SMG that is intended to be used with the Mida Multi Tool Exotic scout rifle. The Calus Mini Tool was designed with the first double-primary weapon system in mind for Destiny 2, so it isn’t as strong now, but with the correct roll, it can still do a lot of damage. It’s not a good PvP pick, but it’s fun in PvE, especially if you’re a Mida enthusiast. Look for aggressive perks like Grave Robber and Slideways in slot one, and for slot two, Surrounded is your best bet for a big damage boost.
- God roll PvE perks: Grave Robber / Slideways + Surrounded
- God roll PvP perks: Eye of the Storm + Tap the Trigger
- Recommended Masterwork: range or handling
Menagerie sniper rifle: Beloved
The Crucible’s newest craze is beloved, which is a powerful PvE sniper rifle. It has greater stats than other 90 RPM snipers and can provide rare perk combinations. The only sniper that can roll No Distractions, which reduces flinch when scoped in, and it also supports Snapshot in slot one. Fourth Time’s the Charm is a fantastic PvE bonus for slot two, as are Quickdraw and Moving Target in PvP.A No Distractions and Box Breathing combination will keep you steady in PvE and allow you to shut down roaming Supers in PvP if you want to double down on hard-scoping.
A handling masterpiece will help this weapon become quicker, but a range masterpiece will also improve your target acquisition if you have Quickdraw or any other sniper armoring perks.
- God roll PvE perks: Snapshot / Field Prep / No Distractions + Fourth Time’s the Charm / Box Breathing
- God roll PvP perks: Snapshot / No Distractions + Quickdraw / Moving Target / Box Breathing
- Recommended Masterwork: handling (or range if you have Quickdraw)
Menagerie machine gun: Fixed Odds
The Fixed Odds is one of the new 360-RPM machine guns. It’s a sluggish firing, hard-hitting chunker that’s ideal for clearing clusters of foes at medium to long range, like all machine guns. While the go-to PvE roll is still Feeding Frenzy and Rampage with Armor-Piercing Rounds, Surrounded is a decent second perk. That’s all you’ll need because 360-RPM machine guns don’t belong in the Crucible. They lose to 450-RPM machine guns like Hammerhead in pretty much every category, but they’re monsters in PvE. As always, a range Masterwork is nice. Noticing a theme here.
- God roll PvE perks: Feeding Frenzy + Rampage
- God roll PvP perks: Under Pressure + Rangefinder
- Recommended Masterwork: range
Menagerie hand cannon: Austringer
The Eyasluna, a popular Legendary hand cannon in the original Destiny, is the inspiration for Austringer. It’s just as popular now as it was then. It looks and feels fantastic, and you have a nice variety of rolls to pick from. Outlaw and Rampage will not let you down in PvE, but Demolitionist is an excellent choice for slot two. Eye of the Storm and Range Finder are the best PvP rolls, since they’ll increase your accuracy and range during heated gun fights. To really push this weapon’s boundaries, go for a range Masterwork.
God roll PvE perks: Outlaw + Rampage / Demolitionist
God roll PvP perks: Eye of the Storm + Rangefinder
Recommended Masterwork: range
Menagerie sidearm: Drang (Baroque)
Drang’s Baroque tool, like the Calus Mini Tool, is meant to be used with an Exotic – in this case, Sturm the Exotic hand cannon. Since acquiring a significant PvE damage boost and a magazine boost, Sturm has once again become a viable option in PvP. In PvP, it feels about the same, which is to say it feels inadequate. You’ll be alternating between Sturm and Drang a lot, so Quickdraw and Snapshot are excellent talents to have.
Disruption Break is another synergistic perk for slot one, and Zen Moment is a fine perk for slot two as always. Handling is a good Masterwork choice given the play style, but anything other than reload – Sturm kills automatically reload Drang – will work fine.
- God roll PvE perks: Quickdraw / Disruption Break + Snapshot / Swashbuckler
- God roll PvP perks: Quickdraw / Eye of the Storm + Snapshot / Zen Moment
- Recommended Masterwork: range
Menagerie fusion rifle: The Epicurean
The Epicurean is a frightening fusion rifle, and it’s currently the highest-leveled fusion rifle in game. It’s also the only fusion rifle that can be used with Swashbuckler, which is an excellent PvE perk. If you kill a foe with your first shot, subsequent shots will incinerate whatever they strike. Another major advantage of The Epicurean is the number of excellent perks it may have.
You’ve got Tap the Trigger, Feeding Frenzy, and Under Pressure in slot one, and Demolitionist, Range Finder, Backup Plan, Swashbuckler, and Moving Target in slot two. For PvE, I’d suggest Feeding Frenzy and Swashbuckler. For PvP, Tap the Trigger and Range Finder are difficult to beat. Range should be your go-to masterwork in both PvE and PvP; if you want more stability, consider a Counterbalance mod.
God roll PvE perks: Feeding Frenzy + Swashbuckler
God roll PvP perks: Tap the Trigger / Under Pressure + Rangefinder / Backup Plan / Moving Target
Recommended Masterwork: range
Menagerie shotgun: Imperial Decree
Imperial Decree is your new best friend if you haven’t obtained the curated Threat Level shotgun from Scourge of the Past. It’s a 55-RPG kinetic shotgun that can roll with Grave Robber and Trench Barrel, which is an extremely effective combo in PvE. In slot one, you’ll find Slideways and Feeding Frenzy, while in slot two, Swashbuckler and Rampage are available.
For PvP, I’d go with Dust Rock Blues over Imperial Decree, but a roll with Slideways and Snapshot, Rampage, or Moving Target should suffice. As usual, the range of a Masterwork is excellent, especially since the Imperial Decree has such a low starting range. However, in PvE, extra handling can be quite beneficial because ranges are not as significant.
- God roll PvE perks: Grave Robber / Feeding Frenzy + Trench Barrel / Swashbuckler
- God roll PvP perks: Slideways + Moving Target / Rampage
- Recommended Masterwork: range
