2022 is here and the first few weeks of the year is generally a period where we don’t see many new game releases. That is why we’ve decided to talk about some of the games we are going to be able to play throughout the year.
Check out these games in 2022
These are the 6 games to look forward to in 2022.
Horizon Forbidden West is one of the most anticipated games of this year and it is scheduled to be released in February. It’s the second game of the Horizon series, which follows a young girl and her journey across a post-apocalyptic future. The first game was all about finding the source of the apocalypse and we are really excited about it.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl is another game people are very hyped about. The game “is a next-gen sequel to the award-winning PC game franchise developed by GSC Game World, set to deliver a unique action experience of survival in the post-apocalyptic Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.”
The next game in the series, Star Trek: Resurgence, will be an interesting experience because we haven’t had a good Star Trek video game in decades. You’ll take control of two Starfleet officers and it appears to be a well-balanced combination of combat and diplomacy.
Starfield, a new role-playing game from Bethesda, the creators of the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series, is among the most anticipated games coming out in November. “In this next generation role-playing game set amongst the stars, create any character you want and explore with unparalleled freedom as you embark on an epic journey to answer humanity’s greatest mystery.”
The upcoming game The Callisto Protocol is “set on Jupiter’s moon Callisto in the year 2320, The Callisto Protocol is a next-generation take on survival horror. The game challenges players to escape the maximum security Black Iron Prison and uncover its terrifying secrets. A blend of horror, action, and immersive storytelling, the game aims to set a new bar for horror in interactive entertainment.”
Last but not least, we are excited to see more of Stray, which will be released in October.
“Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Roam surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by nothing but unassuming droids and dangerous creatures.”
Let’s see if the games we have listed will meet expectations. 2022 promises to be quite exciting in terms of video games.
