Today we’ve learned that WhatsApp is working on a new voice call interface for both iOS and Android versions of the application. The company has been offering some new features, for example, last week WhatsApp gave users the ability to preview their voice messages before they send them.
WhatsApp is working on a new voice call interface
According to the screenshots provided by WeBetaInfo, WhatsApp is developing a new design for the voice call interface. Although this new change won’t affect how this feature works, it only is an aesthetic update.
The company wants to make sure that the user experience is a little more smooth by giving the application a modern look. They will change the colorful background for a black one, with a rounded gray square in the center where you can see the name or number of your contact along with their profile picture.
This redesign will also put the number or name of the contact you are talking to on a dark green background, this way you will know that you are currently connected in the call. Even though it is not confirmed yet, there are some rumors indicating that group calls will also have an updated and more organized interface.
For now, the release date for the new interface is not announced, but WhatsApp should release it soon. To be able to experience this new voice call user interface, make sure to keep your application up to date.
