TikTok Live Studio is revealed. Imagine if you could watch your favorite TikTok stars stream on Twitch, instead of watching them stream on Twitch. You may not have noticed this, but over the last few days, TikTok has been testing a new Windows app called TikTok Live Studio.

What is TikTok Live Studio?
One benefit of TikTok Live Studio is that it’s an excellent platform to build your presence on. With all the features that are missing from other live streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube Gaming, TikTok will be able to attract more streamers. But at this point in time, TikTok Live Studio is only available for iOS and not Android devices. You can stream your videos using a video game console (Xbox, Nintendo, PlayStation), or you can connect to your existing live streaming software via your desktop computer using browser windows. You can set up in-stream alerts for tips or new follows.
The goal of this feature test is to see how creators are using the software. TikTok Live Studio is not guaranteed to roll out, but if we do see a true launch of TikTok Live Studio, it will study what creators are using it for, and then tailor it to suit those use cases.
Users are already using TikTok’s live streaming tools to monetize their accounts and expand their followings. TikTok lets creators accept tips, schedule events, use live Q&A tools, go live with other users, filter certain keywords, and assign moderators. But other existing live streaming features like gifting and commenting could be incorporated into a future version of TikTok.
This streaming software could also help TikTok find more desktop users. For creators, desktop streaming software is essential because a smartphone simply isn’t built to connect to your gaming console and stream at the same time. Though people watch video game streams on their phones, the user experience is usually better on the desktop, which could help users become more accustomed to using TikTok on their computers.
