Let’s say you want to change your browser, there are two good options, Brave and Chrome. Do you know which browser is better? We are going to compare these tools today.

What is Brave?

Brave is a free and open-source web browser based on Chromium. It blocks advertisements and website trackers while also allowing users to contribute cryptocurrencies in the form of Basic Attention Tokens to websites and content providers.

What is Chrome?

Chrome is Google’s giant web browser, as you all know, it is the most popular web surfing application in the world.

Brave vs Chrome

We will compare these two browsers considering different aspects, at the end of the day you will choose which browser is the best, Google or Brave.

Privacy

Brave offers more privacy features than Chrome. On its official website, Brave frequently demonstrates this aspect of the browser. On Brave browser, there’s a private window with tor. This feature hides your IP address from your internet service provider. This tool doesn’t present on Chrome even in its incognito mode.

Speed

On the desktop, Brave loads web pages two times faster than Chrome and Firefox. Brave loads webpages up to 8 times faster than Chrome (Android) or Safari (iOS).

Adblocker

Brave has its own adblocker, this is one of the reasons why it loads pages faster than its counterparts. To speed up the loading time of a website, it gets rid of any advertising. Google Chrome, obviously, doesn’t have a native adblocker.

Extensions

Brave does not lack any extensions because as we said before it is based on Chromium. All the extensions available on Chrome Web Store will also work for the Brave browser.

Conclusion

You are the one to decide in the end, but when we consider extension support, both browsers offer the same experience. When it comes to privacy and speed Brave looks a little bit ahead.
