It’s been two and a half years since we saw the first rumors about AirPods 3 and finally they are unveiled. Apple announced new headphones during the “Unleashed” event. AirPods 3 arrive with a redesign that is similar to the AirPods Pro. This model will have smaller stems, offer touch controls and come with interchangeable ear tips. One of the most striking thing is that they are now waterproof.
AirPods 3 specs
The most significant development is comprehensive support for spatial audio with Dolby Atmos technology. We’re talking about the 3D audio being even more immersive with dynamic head-tracking. It’s the same feature we see on Apple’s AirPods Max and AirPods Pro.
Apple says AirPods 3 will offer a way better sound quality compared to previous versions thanks to its new driver called “low distortion.”
AirPods 3 includes an Adaptive EQ, which automatically tunes the sound in real time based on how they fit in your ear. The new AirPods come with a IPX4 water resistance certificate and they will offer MagSafe and wireless charging support.
HomePod mini comes with three new color options
Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, said: “HomePod mini sounds incredible, and with access to more than 90 million songs in the global Apple Music catalog and deep integration with your Apple devices, it’s the must-have smart speaker for iPhone users.”
