The new Google Pixel 6 will be unveiled together with Pixel Pass, a subscription service with which users can get exclusive benefits.
Google already stated its intention to invest a significant amount more in marketing the Pixel 6 than it did in promoting the previous editions of the Pixel series.
Pixel Pass will offer exclusive features
The company has new offerings to encourage more people to buy its new phones. One of them, leaked with just over a week to go before the presentation of the phones, is Pixel Pass.
This new program, which is probably going to be announced along with the phones, consists of a subscription service that will allow receiving a new Pixel mobile phone every year in exchange for a monthly payment. The subscription plan will also offer premium services such as YouTube Premium, Google One, Google Play Pass, and an extended warranty.
The program in question has been leaked through what appears to be an information page aimed at Google employees and workers of those stores that will sell the Pixel 6.
In the leaked image it says: “Pixel Pass is a monthly subscription that can address the mobile needs of the users and consumers end-to-end.”
Pixel Pass program can be bought through Google Fi and Google Store. However, it looks like that the subscription will be limited to the United States initially. In any case, we will have to wait until the event on October 19 to find out more about it.
