Microsoft offers a monthly subscription to its Office 365 service to allow individuals to use Word or Excel. For those who don’t want to pay every month, the firm still offers the possibility to buy the software suite in one go. Today, we have learned more details about the 2021 version.
It will be released on October 5th. This is not a random date because Windows 11 will be launched on the same day. Office 2021 is not only planned for this new operating system since it will also work on Windows 10 and macOS.
Microsoft Office 2021 will be sold for $149.99
Two versions of Office will be offered tomorrow by Microsoft. The first, Home and Student, is dedicated to individuals and is announced at $149.99. The Home and Business version will include more features and it will have a $249 price tag.
Note that once buy the software once, you won’t need a subscription to use Word or PowerPoint. Moreover, if you are already subscribed to Office 365, this announcement does not change anything for you, since the new features of this 2021 edition are already present on your version.
Office 2021 will bring many changes in the design. The ribbon in the upper part of the application will be more organized. To summarize, Office 2021 will benefit from the same aesthetic changes as Windows 11.
