Gmail for Android gets updated and that includes the same search filters we had in Gmail for the Web.
Filters were added to Gmail for the web more than a year ago, which improved our productivity. It’s been a while, but Gmail for Android has started to include it, following the many techniques available for the mail app.
Given how many individuals utilize email more from their phone than from their computer, it’s odd that this has taken so long to happen.
Gmail filters for dates, senders, and attachments
Since the beginning of Gmail, we have been able to filter by words in its search engine, to find a specific email.
From now on, Gmail for Android will allow us to filter by more criteria, such as the recipient or sender, whether or not there are attachments, and even when it was sent. Despite this, the filters are not as sophisticated as they are in the web version.
There’s no need to do anything more than update Gmail on our phone in order for the filters to appear automatically after a search, even if we don’t use filters.
The update has already been sent, but some users may have to wait until the end of October to download it on their phones.
