Razer, a well-known manufacturer of gaming accessories, has just introduced Wolverine V2 Chroma, its new Xbox gaming controller, both for PC and the Xbox console.
The new Wolverine V2 Chroma is an ergonomic gaming controller, featuring two interchangeable cap sticks, six reassignable buttons (4 additional triggers and 2 bumpers), triggers, and a stylish customizable Chroma RGB lighting strip on each of the device’s grips.
Wolverine V2 Chroma is more modern and sleeker
The layout of the buttons has not changed, however, the analog stick is now a digital one instead of an analog one. For those familiar with Microsoft’s own Xbox game controller, adapting to this device should be simple.
The new Wolverine V2 Chroma comes to serve as a replacement for Wolverine Ultimate, released by the company in late 2017, and not to Xbox Wolverine V2, released last year at the price of $ 100.
- While it offers superior features, such as a beautiful design and functionality, as well as USB-C connectivity (it is a wired controller), there are some downsides.
In this light, the new device is less customizable than the controller it replaces, coming to market at a higher price of around $150 when compared to the Wolverine Ultimate’s current level of customization.
It’s also necessary to have the companion program in order to make the button assignments, which was not required for the Wolverine Ultimate since reassignments could be made directly on the controller.
Likewise, it does not have an interchangeable D-pad, something that could also put some users off.
Users will have to consider the advantages and disadvantages of each alternative, but if we compare Wolverine V2 with the original Wolverine, we can conclude that it offers some benefits without being major.
- In any case, Xbox users have options to choose from to choose the Razer controller model that can best fit their needs when it comes to being with the games, being able to choose from the most veteran models to the latest models, where each of them has their Pros and Cons.
As usual, Razer already has its own official website of the new Wolverine V2 Chrome controller from where you can learn all the details you need to have for a more informed choice.
