The Huawei Nova Y60 is a new entry-level phone with moderate specs accompanied by a nice, updated design. It mounts the Helio P35 inside, a triple camera, and a large battery.

Huawei NOVA Y60 features
Since the US veto, Huawei has considerably reduced the launch of new models, focusing almost entirely on the mid-range and in China. The Huawei Nova Y60 is cut from another pattern, being a simple mobile that, moreover, has been put on sale outside China. For the moment, in South Africa.
In a way, the Huawei Nova Y60 is reminiscent of the old Huawei Y, with a reduced price and a good design. It is a phone without many pretensions, with a 6.6-inch diagonal LCD screen and HD+ resolution.
At the top of that screen is the notch that surrounds the front camera, with an 8MP resolution and f/2.0 aperture. At the back, the phone mounts a triple camera in a rectangular-shaped camera module.
It is a 13MP main sensor and f/1.8 aperture, with a 5MP wide-angle and f/2.2 aperture and a third 2MP sensor for portrait mode, with 5.0 beauty mode and other optimizations with AI.
The power of the Huawei Nova Y60 is provided by the MediaTek Helio P35, with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage expandable via a microSD card. The phone does not include HarmonyOS but EMUI 11.0.1, based on Android 10.
As usual in cheap phones, the Huawei Nova Y60 bets on autonomy, mounting a large battery of 5,000mAh capacity, although with standard 10W charging. The fingerprint reader is present, on one of its sides.
Huawei Nova Y60 price and release date
The Huawei Nova Y60 is official for the moment in South Africa, where it can already be purchased. It is available in green and black colors and a single combination of RAM and storage, for 3099 South African rands, which is about $206.
