If you want to be among the first to try WhatsApp’s multi-device mode, we will tell you how to sign up for the WhatsApp multi-device mode beta.
WhatsApp’s multi-device mode is now real. After years of waiting, the company has finally launched the feature that allows you to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices – up to four different ones – simultaneously, without having to use WhatsApp Web or having to keep your smartphone connected to the Internet at all times.
But for now, this feature is only available to a limited number of users adhering to the beta version of WhatsApp. And even being part of the beta, it is not assured that our account has been chosen to test this feature in advance. However, there is a way to check if we have been lucky, and thus start using the multi-device mode before anyone else.
How to sign up for the WhatsApp multi-device mode beta?
The first thing you should do to check if your account has been chosen to test this feature is to sign up for the WhatsApp beta program through the Google Play Store. If you were already signed up, you can skip this step.
Regardless of whether you just signed up, or if you were already part of the beta program, the next thing you need to do is download the latest available version of WhatsApp on your mobile.
After that, just follow these steps:
- Open the WhatsApp application on your mobile.
- Tap the menu icon in the upper right corner of the screen, represented by three vertical dots.
- Tap on “Paired devices”.
- Choose the “Multi-device mode (Beta)” option.
- Tap on “Join beta”.
When you do so, you will see the process to follow to be able to use WhatsApp on other devices without having to keep your mobile connected. To do this, you will have to access WhatsApp Web from your computer, and you will see an icon at the top of the window, indicating that you are using the new version that does not require the mobile to work.
