WhatsApp is preparing a new dynamic that will make it easier for users to claim an account that has been suspended.
While WhatsApp has automated systems to detect user accounts that violate its policies, we have already seen that they do not always work correctly. And although there is a form and an email address to turn to WhatsApp support, this system usually takes a few days until it sends a response.
And even then, nothing ensures that WhatsApp returns the account. Apparently, in the future, this dynamic will be much simpler and more straightforward. As mentioned in WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a new tool that will make it easier for users to appeal the suspension of the account and open the possibility of recovering it.
An option will be added in the app itself, next to the account suspension message, that allows you to request a review. Using this option, the WhatsApp support team commits to review the account and the device to check for the activity that violates its policies.
This tool also allows us to add any details or information that we believe WhatsApp support should take into account in order to reverse their decision. Once we complete this request, we can send it directly from the application.
Once the support team makes the corresponding review, they will send the response directly to the application. Of course, it will not be through the chat, but you will see the response when you open the application, just as it pointed out to you that the account was suspended.
If they restore your account, they will give you the option to verify it. And if they reaffirm that your account violates any WhatsApp policy, then they will give you the option to register a new number. At the moment, this feature is hidden in the beta version of WhatsApp for iOS, so we will have to wait for it to pass the testing phase to be implemented in the different stable versions.
