ZTE previews the first image of its next under-screen camera phone. The ambition to reduce the frames on smartphones, to cover as much space as possible on the front of them, has led to the appearance of notches, retractable mechanisms, and perforations on the screen, to continue to have the front camera on smartphones, with some exceptions, although we have been waiting for some time for models with the camera hidden under the screen to become a reality, with ZTE’s Axon 20 5G as the only commercial model offering this feature.
Well, a few months shy of the first anniversary of its launch, ZTE now offers a preview in the form of advertising of what will be the next model to bet on a front camera under the screen: the Axon 30 5G.
The second generation of the ZTE under-screen camera will be more discrete
In this regard, ZTE has been testing a second-generation under-screen camera since last February through various prototypes.
The company seeks to make the area where the camera is hidden even more discreet (in the still current model the camera area can be seen if viewed from certain angles), increasing the pixel density of that space, going from 200ppp to 400ppp, as announced in February, making it more difficult to recognize it, also updating the refresh rate of the screen, going from 90Hz to 120Hz.
These efforts are being carried out in collaboration with Visionox to offer better clarity and better image quality on mobile.
While the rest of the specifications are unknown, it is easy to imagine the configuration or different configuration variants with which it will reach the market, being a new flagship.
And while there is no official date of presentation, unofficial sources point that it would be officially presented this coming July 22, coinciding with the statements of the president of the company, Ni Fei that this month will come to a completely new device, without offering details about it.
In this regard, we will not have to wait long, if the date is true, to know all the details and other information of what will be the new flagship of the company, again ahead of the plans of other manufacturers in the intention to bring mobile models with camera under the screen, and that we are already halfway through the year, so we do not know what will happen from here on, although it is assumed that this year would be the year of the takeoff of smartphones with front camera under the screen.
