Android’s ‘Find My Device’ feature would become similar in operation to Apple’s ‘Find’.
Google continues to improve its operating system and will soon include a new feature for Android devices.
It is a function that comes with the iPhone and will soon be included in Android devices in order to ensure a much more effective and simple search when locating the mobile.
The Android system has a service called Find My Device, which allows users to locate their phone in case it has been lost.
Google is currently working on a device network that will work in a similar way to Apple’s Find function, a tool similar to the one used by Android phones, although the iPhone’s is much more efficient when it comes to locating a device.
The novelty that will come to Android is to avoid the restrictions that a Google account has with the devices linked to it, in addition to deleting the data in the event of being a victim of theft.
Apple’s function allows locating a device even without the equipment being connected to the internet, while in Android it is the opposite.
The device needs to be connected to be tracked and this is what the company is working on.
Something similar between both functions is the possibility of locating the equipment in real-time, as well as blocking the screen to protect the information you have, and also the possibility of ringing the mobile.
The new Android function
As mentioned before, the great disadvantage of the Google device network is that it is only possible to locate the mobile while it is connected, otherwise, it will not be possible.
That is why the company’s intention is to expand the scope of the service, even allowing to locate the Android of other users.
Further details of how the new tool Google is working on will work are not yet known, but it is believed that its operation could be very similar to Apple’s Search network.
