After all the controversy over the new privacy policy of WhatsApp, today we’ve learned that the company will not delete accounts that haven’t accepted the changes. Facebook’s popular messaging application, is having quite a turbulent year about the new terms and conditions, something that is not being easy due to the opposition of a significant part of users from the beginning.
WhatsApp will not delete accounts that haven’t accepted the privacy policy
By changing the deadline to May 15, Facebook thought there was enough time to communicate with the users and make them accept this new privacy policy. But things don’t seem to go as planned by the company.
Facebook has tried to make users accept the new terms and conditions, under threat of suspending accounts.
And now, WhatsApp backs down and points out that those users who have not yet accepted the new privacy policy, will not have their accounts suspended.
WhatsApp will notify users about the new rules
WhatsApp will simply notify users of the existence of the new terms and conditions for them to accept them, without affecting the features offered in its application.
While most users who have received the new terms of service have accepted them, we have seen that some people have not yet had the opportunity to do so. No accounts will be deleted on May 15 due to this update.
