British company Heatherwick Studio shows off a new concept called Airo, this fully autonomous electric car is also antipollutionist. The idea of a car with an electric motor is already a product that helps the environment. Eliminating the consumption of fuels such as gasoline reduces the emission of harmful gases into the air we breathe by a considerable percentage.

Airo is an electric car that is fully autonomous. It does not need the assistance of a driver at all on the road. It also has a spacious interior that can be designed in different ways. It can also be converted according to the user’s needs.

Heatherwick Studio’s antipollutionist and autonomous electric car Airo looks very interesting
The car will be unique in being equipped with a high-efficiency particulate absorbing (HEPA) filtering system that cleans the air.

The images seen of Airo are just a concept. However, the company has plans to manufacture the electric car are in place and have a planned date. The fully autonomous car is being designed by British firm Heatherwick Studio for Chinese company IM Motors.

Features of the Airo

Airo is a concept but its future is not so distant, since the first complete model could be ready in 2023. The Asian company IM Motors could start mass production in 2023.

First of all, they must manufacture a perfect product, without any flaw. Then they would have to obtain the necessary permits to be able to put a fully autonomous electric car on the road. Although Tesla cars have an autopilot system, it is mandatory to have someone behind the wheel, watching what is happening on the road. The goal is to be able to execute a maneuver in time, in case of any failure or breakdown.

But the Airo is different from anything seen before in sedan-type cars. If it is to be compared, it could be placed in the section of motorhomes, due to its interior styling.

On the inside of the Airo is a sort of dining area that can be transformed into a bed or a video game room.

Because the car runs entirely on electric power, it is confirmed that it will not produce fossil fuel pollutants. However, its designers emphasize that its commitment to the environment is much stronger. The car will be “unique in being equipped with a high-efficiency particulate absorbing (HEPA) filtering system that cleans the air from the pollution of other vehicles,” according to the British company.
