At the moment a sequel to Days Gone seems difficult and could be something that never exists. That said, within the community, there is a sector that wants it to exist, and to let Sony know this they are already raising their voices with a campaign that already has the support of nearly 80,000 people.
In recent days, the Change.org campaign that seeks to get Sony to make a sequel to Days Gone has garnered more support. It is thanks to this that, at the time of writing, it has the signature of 79,340 players.
This means that the campaign seeking a sequel to Days Gone is close to half of its goal. We remind you that its goal is to get 150,000 signatures to send the petition to Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Don’t get your hopes up about a Days Gone Sequel
Now, you mustn’t get your hopes up about the possibility of a Days Gone sequel. Not even if the campaign reaches its fundraising goal.
The thing is that 150,000 signatures represent little for the number of people Sony needs to buy a game for it to be profitable. Furthermore, all indications are that Bend Studio is already focused on other projects and that Days Gone’s main creatives are no longer with the studio.
So, a lot would have to happen for Days Gone 2 to become a reality. Maybe if the game turns out to be a huge success on PC launch we could start to get our hopes up, but that doesn’t guarantee anything either.
