Apparently, the controller’s latest software update has had very beneficial effects on backward compatibility because PS5 users report that DualSense is doing a better job on PS4 games.
PS5 has brought many new technical features. This console is able to run physical and digital PS4 games which means it is backward compatible. However, the DualSense of the new console seemed not to be fully aligned with the feedback of PS4 games.
The latest DualSense update offers a more natural vibration for PS4 games
There seems to be a large number of PS5 users reporting that with the latest update to the controller the DualSense is now able to emulate the vibration that a PS4 game would have on its native controller much more naturally.
But Sony did not properly point out those changes in the latest software update. Many gamers indeed confirm those changes.
PS5 will improve the backward compatible gaming experience
We’ll see if there will be more updates of this type that continues to help to get the most out of the PS5 DualSense, because Sony certainly has not said anything on this subject yet. In any case, for the time being, we will have to be patient, as the next major patch should currently be a few months away from its arrival.
