Apple’s subscription service for video games is renewed with a good number of modern and classic titles, the company adds 30 more games to Apple Arcade.
Apple Arcade receives an update to increase its catalog of games today. Thirty new titles bring the total number of games available to subscribers to 180. With them, two new categories are opened: “Timeless Classics” and “App Store Greats.”

One of the most interesting games is Fantasian, the latest release from the creator of Final Fantasy. ” The tale begins in a realm governed by machines, in which Leo causes a massive explosion at a hybrid magic-tech … Within this multi-dimensional universe, the balance of “Chaos and Order” becomes a key factor in the struggle for these realms and the machinations of the gods who wish to control them,” says the studio.
This game joins other Apple originals such as NBA 2K, Star Trek: Legends, The Oregon Trail, and PlatinumGames’ World of Demons. These games, within the Arcade Originals category, can be played on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. While the two new categories introduced today, Timeless Classics and App Store Greats, are available on iPhone and iPad.
Timeless Classics include genres well known to more adult audiences such as “Good Sudoku by Zach Gage”, “Chess – Play & Learn” and “Backgammon”. On the other hand, there is the App Store Greats option in which we find titles such as Threes, Monument Valley, Mini Metro, and a remastered version of Cut the Rope.
A subscription to Apple Arcade costs $4.99 per month and offers access to 108 games. Up to six members of a family can access those games with the same subscription and there is a completely free trial period for new subscribers.
